After recently completing the training course with Phil Kenyon, I'm ready to pass on new skills to my clients.  Using the lessons I also gained from Scotty Cameron – the leading putting designer for Titleist and the maker of Tiger Wood’s putters; and Stan Utley who is well renowned on the PGA tour as a short game guru and now author, I will show you what the mechanics of a successful stroke are.

You will get Trackman analysis ... so if you have attended 'The Putting Hour' previously, this is something new.  This will potentially be the most precise analysis you will have in Putting ... made simple by

welcomes you to 'The Pitch'. This is designed for all levels of players and has no limit to what you can get out of this session.

My goal for students is to get a clear idea of what you can achieve from these distances, which undoubtedly are the biggest chance for
you to shave shots off your scorecard.
My playing and experience in tournament golf at the highest level for over 15 years have taught me the importance of this part of a player’s game.

In this clinic:
We will discuss your current wedge set up.  Are the gaps set up correctly in the different wedges you have for maximizing your distance control?
How do you control your distances? Deal with different lies of the golf ball and how that will react on the green.  Controlling your flight in the wind.

And much more!

WG will provide the golf balls and this will be conducted on grass to targets.

  NZ Golf Awards
Ryan Fox took out the NZ Player of the Year Award at this year's awards in Queenstown. I would like to offer my personal congratulations to Ryan and I am extremely proud to be his coach.

I want to also thank NZPGA for honouring me with the award of 2017 NZ Professional Coach of the Year.
WOW!!!  I have to say that I am pretty happy!

WG Academy

We have had a great year so far with enormous enthusiasm from this group of young golfers, aged between 13-17 years of age. Coaching is held for my WG Academy twice per week and this group are showing great commitment. We've had a few new faces join us this in 2018 and I am impressed with their potential.

The WG boys are on fire!
One of our WG champions Daniel Pearce has been ripping up the fairways, winning the Akarana Barfoot & Thompson Open and claiming his third Jennian Homes Charles Tour Title.   WG wishes you the very best for the fourth leg of the tour starting at Muriwai Golf Course.

Congratulations Daniel

Congratulations Harry ... you did it!

WG's Harry Bateman claimed his maiden victory in October on the Jennian Homes Charles Tour by an eight-shot margin (yes 8 shots!) at the Jones Jones Steel Harewood Open.  After previously finishing runner-up three times playing the Charles Tour, Harry wasn't going to let victory slip away this time.  Awesome result Harry!

It was a busy time working with Ryan Fox in the UK and Germany in June with temperatures hitting 31 ... very unlike the UK!

We practiced at Ryan's home course in London, aptly named Fox Hills in Cobham, Surrey approx 40 minutes outside of London.  Fox Hills is a 36 hole complex witht a hotel, manor house, 9 hole par 3 course with a full driving range, a spa, gym and 5 swimming pools.  It's a great place to be welcomed.

Then it was off to the BMW International in Munich, Germany ... ready for the week ahead!

Ryan Fox normal day:
Big breakfast
Hit balls for 2 hours working on technical and amount of shape a shot using start lines ... video and trackman work
Play the 9 hole par 3 course whilst doing some chipping practice
Putt and then play 18 holes ... done by 6.30pm, then on to do some gym fitness
